PANTONE 18-1750 (Viva Magenta) is between red and pink on the colour palatte and is inspired by cochineals. Cochineal red is extracted from mature cochineal worms. Cochineal is an insect native to Mexico and Central America, and the mature insects contain high levels of magenta acid, which can be made into natural carmine pigment. It is one of the precious dyes that belong to the family of natural dyes and is one of the more intense and brighter dyes known in the world.

Like periwinkle blue, the colour of the year 2022, Viva Magenta is also a new age colour that is considered to be the most relevant to the current era, to give hope and show the power of renewal, and to be suitable for both real and virtual worlds.
